The Power of Prayer

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of our lives, and right now, many of us feel the urgent need to pray. Today marks National Day of Prayer and we ask you to join the Mission family in praying for God’s help and healing.

Today, thousands of caring individuals across the country will lift up their prayers for our nation. As we cope and move forward with the challenges of COVID-19, your prayers are especially needed. As some nonprofits and ministries have narrowed their services, the Mission’s doors are open wider than ever to reach the most vulnerable people during times of crisis.

The needs in our nation are great, especially during the current health crisis, and today you can help. The community has asked us how they can help the Mission during these unprecedented times. One of the biggest ways to help is by praying for the Mission and the individuals seeking help at the Mission.

So how can you pray for the Mission? Pray for our homeless neighbors seeking help at the Mission. Pray for God’s protection and healing in the wake of COVID-19 for our vulnerable, homeless neighbors in the area. Pray for our cities and our leaders. Pray for our local businesses and their employees. Pray for our nation and needs across the country. Pray for God to provide for those who are hungry and homeless in the US and protect those with health challenges right now. Pray for all the organizations, ministries and caring individuals serving those in need. And pray for all of our frontline heroes.

In this time of economic uncertainty, we are committed to serving our homeless neighbors, some of which are the most at risk in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our staff and resources will be stretched in the coming weeks, months, and moving forward. If you are interested in partnering with the Mission to serve our homeless neighbors, please visit follow our blog, website, and social media to find how you can help during these unprecedented times.

Finally, if you or your loved ones have any needs we can pray for during this difficult time, please let us know. Email us at prayer@sbrescuemission.com with your request so we can be in prayer for you.

The Bible tells us, ”Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Prayer is powerful. Prayer provides hope and healing. And prayer is needed now more than ever. So I challenge you to join the #SBMissionLife and pray for hope and healing today!
